The Tractor Boys beat Swansea City 3-2 at the weekend, taking their unbeaten league run to 12 games.
They are top on goal difference from Ipswich Town, who are 8/13 for promotion and have lost just once in the Championship this season. Leaders Leicester City remain 1/10 favourites for promotion, although the Foxes have lost successive games to Leeds United and Middlesbrough after winning 13 of their first 14 league matches. It was a fine display from Tony Mowbray’s side, who were defeated in the play-off semi-finals last term and are looking to end a seven-year absence from the top flight.
Sunderland are now 10/1 to win promotion to the Premier League after earning an impressive 3-1 victory over Birmingham City at the weekend.
